How Finance Charts can be funded

Finance Charts is an independent financial-education project. The site may earn revenue from display advertising and may introduce other clearly disclosed commercial arrangements in the future. Revenue helps support hosting, development, research and the creation of new calculators and guides.

Advertising does not set the calculations

Advertisers do not determine calculator formulas, default assumptions, methodology or editorial conclusions. A paid advertisement appearing beside a calculator or guide does not mean Finance Charts recommends the advertiser, product or service.

Sponsored content

If Finance Charts publishes sponsored material, the commercial relationship should be clearly identified on that material. Sponsorship should not be presented as independent research.

Affiliate relationships

If affiliate links are introduced, relevant pages should disclose that Finance Charts may receive compensation when a user follows a qualifying link or completes a qualifying action. Affiliate compensation should not silently alter calculations, rankings or editorial conclusions.

Ad placement and user experience

Advertising should remain distinguishable from editorial content and interactive controls. Finance Charts should avoid ad placements that make an advertisement look like a calculator button, navigation element, download control or editorial recommendation.

Financial education remains the product

The purpose of Finance Charts is to provide useful tools, transparent calculations and understandable financial education. Monetization is intended to support that work rather than replace it with pages created only to display advertising.
