Privacy Policy

How Finance Charts handles technical data, calculator inputs, cookies, advertising technologies and privacy choices.

Last reviewed: 2 October 2026

Scope

This policy explains how Finance Charts handles information when you use thefinancecharts.com. Finance Charts is designed primarily as a public financial-education website; ordinary visitors do not need to create an account to use the public calculators and guides.

Technical information used to deliver the site

The hosting, content-delivery and security infrastructure may process standard technical request information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include IP address, browser or user-agent information, requested URLs, timestamps, referrer information and similar diagnostic data. These records can be retained in server or infrastructure logs for security, reliability and troubleshooting.

Calculator inputs and shared URLs

Finance Charts calculators are designed to perform their interactive calculations in the browser. Some tools place the selected assumptions in the page URL so a scenario can be bookmarked or shared. Because URL query strings can appear in browser history, shared links and standard server or CDN logs, do not enter confidential or personally identifying information into calculator fields.

Cookies and local storage

Essential site or WordPress functionality may use cookies where technically necessary, including for authenticated administration. A first-party local-storage choice remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. You can change that choice through the Analytics settings control in the site footer.

Optional Google Analytics

If you accept analytics, Finance Charts loads the Google tag for Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand visits, page usage and whether a visitor changes an input on a calculator page. That interaction event is sent only after analytics consent, at most once per page load, without an entered amount, field name or query string. Google may set analytics cookies such as _ga and process usage and technical information under its own policies. We configure page views with a clean page URL that excludes calculator query parameters, and do not intentionally send calculator input values as analytics events. Rejecting analytics prevents this site-controlled Google tag from loading. Withdrawing consent stops further measurement by this tag and attempts to remove its first-party analytics cookies.

Google explains how it processes information from sites using its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. The analytics setting is separate from any future advertising consent choice.

Google advertising and third-party technologies

Finance Charts may use Google AdSense or other advertising services to fund the site. When Google advertising is active, third-party vendors including Google may place and read cookies on a visitor’s browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses or similar identifiers as part of ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and, where permitted, personalization.

Google explains how it uses information from sites and apps that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Users can manage Google advertising personalization through Google Ads Settings.

Consent for advertising and analytics

Finance Charts requests a choice before its optional Google Analytics tag is loaded. The accept and reject options are equally available, and you can revisit the choice from the footer. If Google advertising is introduced for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, its consent requirements will be assessed separately; this analytics control does not grant advertising consent.

Email correspondence

If you email Finance Charts, the message, sender address and information you choose to include are processed to review and respond to the enquiry, protect the site, maintain necessary correspondence and evaluate correction requests. Cloudflare email-routing infrastructure forwards the message to a private mailbox operated by Google. Do not send confidential financial information, passwords, identification documents or account numbers.

External links

Finance Charts pages can link to regulators, institutions, data providers, issuers or other external websites. Those sites operate under their own privacy practices. A link is not a statement that Finance Charts controls how the external site collects or uses information.

Changes to this policy

This policy should be updated when the site’s data practices materially change, including when new analytics, advertising, account or newsletter features are introduced.
